The spot was created using Rhythm and Hues Studios in LA, known for their special effects CGI work on films like Babe and Stewart Little. The cat was completely animated and was quite an interesting process but at the end of the day, even digital cats do whatever they want and lack the personality of a digital dog.

Starlight Theatre is a very successful outdoor summer theatre venue in Kansas City. Each year there are 4 feature shows among 8 on the bill. Jekyll and Hyde was a dark offering from the theatre but done in a very traditional way. Our spot captured that with good old fashioned lighting and theatrics only without the need for expensive tricks which worked in our favor since there was no money for a special effects artist much less fancy-schmancy CGI.

This spot was done for a client that, like most clients these days, didn't have enough money to justify doing TV but that didn't stop them from buying the media placement and securing a deadline for a spot to be done. So we took a bunch of images designed to be print ads and brochures and spun them into the silk purse of a TV spot that you see before you. OK, a silk purse may be a bit of a stretch.

Bayer K9 Advantix "Swarm"

1 of 2 spots created for Bayer Advantix. This one allowed me to live out a lifelong dream: to create a commercial where bugs morph into Loony toon arrows, airplanes and bombs right before viewers very eyes. I can now die a fulfilled man.

Bayer Advantage "Rumors"

Dogs shamelessly hawking for Advantage. I swear, throw a few bones their way and they'll say anything you tell them to.

Russell Stover's Mother's Day

A quirky spot created for Russell Stover Candies, showing a son caught off guard at the realization that he's forgotten mothers day. A series of flash backs reveal a somewhat creepy resemblance to he and his mom. Hmmmmm, I wonder why?
